gold amber color; this was somewhat earthy with a slight nuttiness, showing the most age of the group (more than the '02 Marcassin) which gave it complexity; good lift, quite long. 92+

{Bought ? 10 years ago, perfect fill, excellent storage. Poured before flight of reds at monthly winos tasting at Troquet}. Premoxed. Golden color, end nose still has some hints of pizzazz of great white Burgundy... but dominated by sherried elements. Palate similar. Structurally sound. 2 in the group said it was a great match with their crab soup; if you have any, suggest you try it with a food that fino sherry would go with. Nothing like the bottle tasted about a year ago that was a marvel. Alas.

Eleventh Annual White Truffle Dinner (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): Popped and poured. Advanced for its age, and very disappointing even though drinkable. Also faded to less interesting for the 20-30 minutes in glass. So I'd say moderately prematurely oxidized. 89 points when first poured, 85 points when poured out 30 minutes later.

Really beautiful... still fresh and full bodied. With some years to go on!
