There's a very foody aspect to the nose. A little yeast, something starchy, and something sugary and vinegary kind of like ketchup. Very peculiar. Spicy flavor with white pepper. Quite bitter grapefruit finish. Not really my cup of tea.

Ken Wright has made another very nice wine. I paired it with fresh Dungeness crab and assiago cheese bread. It had a nice velvet mouth feel with a floral nose. I picked up the smell of the outter skin of a peach, my wife picked up pear and we both thought green apple. All blended nicely together. It paired very well with Dungeness crab. It opened up a bit and rounded in the glass (25 minutes). It was a nice glass of wine. Thanks Ken!

(Ken Wright CellarsPinot Blanc Willamette Valley) A cool vintage that produced wines of intensity and structure. The Pinot Blanc, from the Meredith Mitchell and Freedom Hill vineyards, shows a brassy color and a nose of honeysuckle, waxy mineral, red-apple skin, and pear. The medium-bodied palate features candy-apple flavor and crisp acidity. A touch of almond extract emerges on the fairly long finish. Winery Spotlight: Ken Wright Cellars

Enjoyable white Pinot Blanc. Average body that paired nicely with salmon appetizer. Tasted honeysuckle, stone fruit and white pepper.

Overly oaked, little fruit, perhaps passed its prime. Wasn't enjoyable.
