Friend brought over for game night. Interesting nose of dark berries, green bell peppers, and a hint of menthol. On the palate, menthol, blackberries. Had a terribly bitter finish that made this almost undrinkable.

Thanksgiving 2010; 11/24/2010-11/26/2010 (Home and Leombruni's): Much improved vintage. Lots of round fruity merlot and spicy malbec- far better than prior vintages I've had of this. Carmenare usually is better but not this one. Great value.

Light in flavor, few tannins, much more merlot than malbec.

Not bad, especially for the price. Fairly smooth, some earth and dark fruit. Much nicer than Panilonco's carmenere.

Blackberry and funky tobacco notes. Flabby, then livens up somewhat with mild spice on the finish. Not as good as Panilonco's carmenere.
