A solid pinot noir as your would expect from an appellation level Siduri at this price point. It won't wow you, but it does deliver on a crowd-pleasing pinot. The nose hints at more complexity, but on the palate, it's massive amounts of red berry fruits, especially cranberry and raspberry. It's not the subtle pinot noir that can effortlessly pair with a variety of dishes, but it's a richer style pinot that you can have with duck or game meats.

My first Siduri, and this might now be one of my new favorite RRV pinots. Wonderfully fresh on the nose with ripe dark fruit, and those classic pinot earthy undertones. The palate is juicy, strawberries and cherries, and finishes with that hint of the forest floor. Low tannins, a moderate acidity. I get almost no essence of the alcohol at 14.5%. I'll be coming back to this one for sure.

I'm a big Siduri fan, and I've found from vintage to vintage I have my favorites. The 2016 Russian River is a winner. It's bright with a beautiful juicy acidity and has more depth and length of finish than in previous years. This is one to stock up on.

From a 375, twist and pour. Dark burgundy color, ripe cherry nose, abundant black cherry with Dr Pepper notes, fruity right through the finish which lingers on with a bit of tannic grip. Easy drinking made in a crowd pleasing style.
