Great Clos Ste Hune for me. At this age, the oily richness that only comes with time was showing in full force, balanced wonderfully by great acidity and deep petrol. I've had issues with some previous bottles of CSH being more advanced than they should be but no issues here today. Very happy to spot this and open, and seems to me to be in a great spot right now. Can keep, but wouldn't hesitate to open again!

Opened at Caprice in HK for the Jean Trimbach x Egon Muller Celebration Dinner by the winemakers themselves. Slow-oxed since 3pm and poured at around 9:30.
This wasn't quite on the same level as the 2016 served next to it - unfortunately more forward than we had hoped and slightly oxidative. This seems to be a recurring issue with some of the other Clos Ste Hunes that I've had.
That being said, there's still great juice here. Perhaps just not quite the best example of what this wine can be tonight.

Xmas 2022; 12/20/2022-12/27/2022 (Matt and Marta’s): Pulled the cork a couple of hours before serving. Light in colour and no signs of early aging. Quite a full and round version, ripe orchard fruits of peach and nectarine, the acidity is there, but less pronounced than other crisper vintages, a really long finish. A very good wine but a slightly atypical vintage of CSH

No notes taken. This showed fairly closed at first and only with time and a lot of swirling more aromas came forward. This is a dense Riesling with a lot of flesh on the bone but it didn‘t show very complex or precise. Maybe with an additional 10 years in the cellar, this might change. The impeccable structure witha a high and round acidity should certainly allow for extended ageing. 90/91 pts.

The 50 Big Bash (Harry's NYC): Fresh and young and lovely but very primary still. Give it more time.
