Another fantastic old bottle from Brick House. Everything about the bottle was in pristine condition. Still a nice medium-red. Spicily expressive aromatics. Gorgeous and still-youthful red fruit on the palate, along with signature Brick House cinnamon/spice components. Nice acidity. Yum.

Nose was quite musty to start but that mostly blew off with air, revealing stewed red fruit and a touch of spirit. Similar palate, sweet, cooked cherries along with some damp earth. A bit too sweet and flabby for me. This bottle hasn't aged very gracefully, maybe a victim of poor storage along the way.

Dark red color without bricking, pale 1-2mm meniscus from 750mL format. Nose was cherry Vicks cough drops. Palate showed red "dirty" fruit with mild to moderate (!) tannin, some volatile acidity, and numerous flavors from typical aged Oregon pinot: mushroom, earth, brassy character. Intermittently hot on the finish.
This wine was disjointed and unsteady on its feet. Perhaps a same from a bottle careening downhill?

brought a magnum to a dinner out we were hosting for 8; the nose was of ripe berries and the 1st taste sublime - did not decant it and it stayed superb with very little sediment at the end.
