Golden yellow color. Drank after the Thibert Macon-Fuisee. More fruity (ripe apples, some tropical elements) and oaky with butterscotch on the finish. Less acidity as would be expected. Bigger mouthfeel. Not my favorite style but not a bad wine for the price.

Good value but got a little heavy towards the end--syrup and sticky. Medium body and some oak and just a cheap Chard. It's almost like they tried to make more out of the wine that what can support it. Pull back on trying to add structure and complexity and focus on a light crisp chard--this seems to fall somewhere in between and loses it identity--but hey, it pretty cheap so I guess I'm asking for a little bit too much.

Surprising amount of melon for a chardonnay. Still, fairly refreshing and not overly-oaked. Fine for a sub-$10 bottle of wine.
