Deep color, new Kabinett/old Spatlese level sweetness, this is fully mature, I enjoy but much more advanced than regular 2001 night before (for that matter more advanced than an ‘89 CFE VT recently tasted). Peaches, apricots, and petrol, with a touch of toffee on finish. Enjoyable enough, but CT says I have more of these, need to fine and consume sooner rather than later based on this bottle. B

French White Wine Afternoon on a Beautiful Summer Day (Seattle): Half bottle. Light golden color. Ripe yellow peach and high toned secondary perfume. Rich and sweet for a Trimbach VT wine, but it retains excellent acidity and thrust with increasing spice as it opens. Delightful and fully mature from this smaller format.

Arrived at the end of a long wine flight and shown through. Soft yet bright and still very young and almost primary as a sweet. Stone fruits, soft honey, bright peach and impressive acidity that helps bind everything together in harmony. And finishes with a 2 minute length.. 93 and will live another 20 years easily.

More apricot pit and orchard fruit than lime zest, it's floral and stony with a honeyed note. This is deep and structured, combining the richness of the 375 anniversary bottling with the precision of the CFE. Mineral water, with honeyed fruit, balanced by terrific acidic cut, all with near perfectly balanced RS. Depth and breadth matched with with an equal sense of weightlessness. Expansive, deep, and very long on the palate and finish. This has the same sense of effortless beauty that the CFE has. Early peak for me and pretty fantastic.
To boot: a relatively magnificent pairing with a fresh apple tart.
The last glass on day two was, if anything, a bit better. A brilliant wien with a long future ahead. 95+

Light golden. Ripe yellow peach and the barest hint of petrol. Full, fairly sweet, incredibly fresh sultana and stone fruit, rising spice, outstanding acidity. Exciting, fabulous wine that showed quite young tonight.
