  • Rich and ripe with maltose, ripe yellow fruit, honey and orange rind. Very Lafon in style in the 90s era. Drink now. 91-92

  • Rich, honeyed but a little bland. Some greenness that is uncommon for the vintage. 92

  • Light gold, pleasant but not much Meursault character. Seems slight compared to Charmes and certainly not worth the upcharge. Pleasant to drink, though, clean and well preserved.

  • Pleasant strong refined acidity. Very much alive. Drank the last glass the next day after inadvertently leaving the bottle open all night, and it was unbelievably better -- rich. Should try that more often.

This is such a classy juice that showing off power and grace. Meursault just hardly get much better than this. The nose is wonderfully aromatic, broad and intense. So expressive even right out of the bottle. This has stunning purity and complexity with high tone butterscotch that is really attractive along with lemon custard, vanilla and an array of very seductive sweet yellow fruits. The aromas continue to evolved in the glass over the next 2hrs with mint, yellow floral, melon that added better depth and dimension to the already impressive aromatic profile. It was kinda dull and fat on the palate and I got a lots of sweet vanilla oak, however by no mean heavy with short-medium length. It took 2hrs for the wine to open up: super intense and concentrated that coated the mouth immediately yet it was so perfectly balance and harmonious that the juice flow through the palate effortlessly, Ballerina dancing on the palate! Complex flavors of red apple, pear, melon, fresh herbs, lime, creamy vanilla and liquid mineral. Such lush texture and the complex, juicy finished just goes on and on with almond, hazelnut, sweet lemon and mineral nuanced. I especially like the transparency, freshness, precision and purity here. Really, really delicious. This wine has all its need for the long haul, give it another 5-7yr. 94-95+

2nd day: remaining 1/10 in the bottle. The wine is shutting down as it getting tighter and more restraint on both nose and palate. I'm glad that I catch the right drinking spot on day 1.
