  • Ruby transparent pomegranate colored core, just starting to show an aged earthed red clay at the rim of the glass. A stunning site to see against the white tablecloth at the sushi restaraunt where we enjoyed this excellent bottle. First impressions on the nose evoked memories of freshly picked alpine rasberries, soaked in a cedar-lined bowl of cranberry juice. The floral and earthy aromas that lingered on the bouquet remained true on the palette, with red cherries and sandalwood joining this menagerie of nature’s purity. Paired perfectly with nigiri foi gras and toro sashimi, opening and rounding out over the course of an hour. In a sweet spot but still has legs. Highly recommend!

  • 91-92: IMO in a sweet spot. I have had some good showings of 08's recently. Upon opening had some funk, a little barnyard, wet leather, blew off and developed into more of a damp earth note. Lean and clean, red berries, cherries, earth, minerals, good acidity, great food wine.

  • Not the aromatic explosion of an 98 Morey from Dujac tasted right in its youth, therefore some refined quality, some elegance, some length carrying light-weighted red fruit. Stylish. Great for a Village. Ready to drink. From demi (0.375 btl).

  • This is still impressive, with its seductive red berry flavors, but the fruitiness of the wine has already started to fade out. I cannot recommend you to store this any more.

  • Quite concentrated and intense for a village. Earth, black berries and wood spice. Impressive at this level, but more Gevrey-like in style and a tad to much lumber for me. Not really what you expect from a Perrot-Minot.
