PnP. Final bottle purchased on release and it's consistent with the one I opened two years ago. Color remains bright, clear, light straw. Fading intensity of aromas and flavors, but plenty of acidity. This variety can age, no doubt, but I'd not be sitting on these '18s any longer if I had more - there just doesn't seem to be enough fruit. I'll happily look for the new release. recommended

PnP. There's little sign of age to the pale straw color, and the wine's still bright and clear, and yet, given the current state of the acids, and if this is representative of this bottling in general terms, I'd drink sooner than later. That's not to say the wine is missing anything of true import on this day, rather it's to say that after spending some quality time with this, I'm inclined to believe there's no upside in further cellaring. Nearly medium-bodied, the wine offers avg+ complexity and length, and proved a very suitable companion to a cracking good creole shrimp dish with fennel sausage, chili lime broth, focaccia, charred tomato, radish and scallion. I can see where this would be considered too thin, sparing, even, to most wine drinkers, and that's ok, there's more for us, read: me. Easily recommended, likely best thru 2025.
