I am not philosophically opposed to points, but I don't assign them and I don't usually comment in that context. But . . . if 90 points or so is average around here (not sure that is true, but scores seem to kind of cluster there) this should be scored a good solid step up from that.

  I continue to be a big fan of this wine. Delicious forward NRhone Syrah. Easy drinking and that's no lefthanded compliment. I will drink the rest of these over the next year or two.

  Good bright/ dark contrast in the form of bright, high-toned and cool berry fruit that is tempered by brooding pepper and meaty tones. Nice earthiness with a touch of that red floral, rhododendron bush/ rose petal profile that I always get from these. A touch of astringency late in the finish gives some added lift.
