Wow! This is a surprise. Unusually full-bodied for a Kiwi SB, with a good deal of stony minerality, and a lovely, beguiling tangerine-peel-and-floral (orange blossom!) finish. If I'd tasted this blind, I'd have guessed it to be a high-end expensive Loire SB from a great vintage. MUST get more.

Interesting to drink this with some bottle age. Normally like my SB's young and fresh. Pleasantly surprised how well this is holding up. Mature green pepper, asparagus, and pea aromas. Some creaminess too. Palate is smooth and the acidity is sufficient to cut through the weighty palate. Drink up now.

Drank at home. Faint notes of almost grilled asparagus, acidity gone, ripe stone fruits, med body and finish. The wine was gone but not oxidized
