Moderate honey gold color, typical of this wine with some years on it; getting the characteristic gewurz nose, bit on the lighter side, then really lovely on the palate, with flavorful, lightly gewurz spiced fruit, touch of savory minerality. A slightly tamer version of this wine, not quite the depth and explosiveness of the 2001 or 2005, a touch less acidity, it still nicely balanced, and still quite youthful. Based on where this wine is now, it could easily age another decade and more, and still be in its prime.

Floral and sweetish aromas with lychee and citrus. Guessed it was a Pinot Gris. Surprisingly sweet and full bodied for a Trimbach. Would have expected more acidity and firmness in a 2004, but nice wine.

Lovely spice notes, classic lychee, muscaty, honey, asian spices-floral notes but not in excess; dry, broad as it should be, and slight phenolic bitter finish. Excellent Gewurz. HIro's
