  • A very solid and unique Cabernet Sauvignon blend which shows richness yet wonderful delicateness at the same time. Dark plump fruit, unsmoked tobacco, black pepper, all spice, green pepper along with dark chocolate. The Palate is rich yet delicate, with refined and slightly bruised dark berry fruit, cassis, blackcurrant and spice, the mid- palate is rich with a spicy undertone finishing long and dry. Love the spice component on all YY wines!

  • Yarra Yering Dry Red Wine No. 1 2018, Cabernet Sauvignon 55% Merlot 28% Malbec 12% Petit Verdot 5%

Yarra Yering located in Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. Produces fantastic wines, No. 1 is a Bordeaux Blend and No. 2 is a Rhone blend. Focus on the fruit and a clear structure, the acidity is vital and the tannins are fine-grained. This reminds a little of Margeret River, sublime fruit, or left bank in Bordeaux. High minerality, herbs, lead pencil together with black currants and a touch of plum. This should be even better with at least 5 more years in the cellar.

  • nice color - very dark in the glass
nose - hints of eucalyptis, red merging with black fruits, smells silky smooth
Palate - there's tension to the fruit that is very nice, restrained richness is how I'd describe it. This wine has a very defined beginning middle and finish and they flow so smoothly that they are hard to identify individually. The finish is long and certainly demands another sip long before dissipating.
Would buy again. One of my top Australian wines to buy on sight.
