Late July Bday celebration at Maison Dakota. 1 day old bottle. Lots of air time already. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of honey, yellow flowers, oak, citrus lemon, seashell minerality. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium+ going fullish body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of honey cream, seashell minerality, limestone, citrus lemon curd, some toasty nuts. Strong long finish. Very good quality. Showcasing roundness, ripeness, and power on the palate, with some of the classic Chablis characters still present. All of this at 12.5% only, really can't complain much about this good stuff then. Still can age more over the next 4-5 years but shouldn't be a problem accessing this now already.

Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #028 Chablis (by DJ): Unfortunately this wine was poured a bit too warm. Nevertheless a tasting note: Mature bouquet with yellow fruits, apple and oak. On the palate a bit reductive, a bit fat, minerals, nuts and ok acidity. This bottle was quite ready and because it was served too warm I don't score it. Would probably be around 90.

Very enjoyable, especially when cold. Tasting citrus, limestone, mineral finish. Medium finish, but at this point not particularly crisp on the end. Lots of acid. Wonder if it would have been a little crisper a few years ago..

Burg Dinner At The Murray Casa (The Murray's): Generous and broad, lacks the intensity though of the 08 Servin Blanchots and the 04 Fevre Les Clos, though. Grapefruit, will need more time to settle in and define. Heck, this is a 2009.

Ripe yellow fruit. A lot of the lovely limestone and minerals. Medium length.
