  • Power and finesse. Sweet fruit, enough acidity, minerals (iron) and very nice tanins. So good. We had this with deer and a sauce 9f the bones, sproutes and a patatoe/celeriac purée.
    An experience a will not easily forget. Unfortunately this was my last bottle. But I still have the 2007, 2008 and 2010.

  • Sottobosco, mora, chiodi di garofano, rosa e viola secca. balsamico. Al palato sorso deciso, bel nerbo, poca dolcezza. finale di media lunghezza. Dall'ultimo (forse) produttore "contadino" della denominazione, da sempre produttore di vini molto personali, naturali, per cui impiega prodotti naturali.

  • opened, decanted and drunk immediately over three hours
    served with tenderloin, mushroom risotto and Brussels sprouts
    moderate orange bricking on sides
    gorgeous and heavy nose of classic tar and roses throughout the evening
    palate is less dominate
    nice harmony between acidity and balance
    drinking charmingly now, but there is definite life left
    would buy again, especially under $50
