Proppen var meget blød. Vinen er langt mere fremme i udvikling end forventet. Smager fantastisk. Kaffe i såvel duft som smag. Blød, ikke præget af syre. Ingen bitter toner. Super vin men overraskende langt fremme givetvis pga proppen.

The smell is very powerfull and fruitfull from the very beginning. 1-2 hours after opening it becomes more integrated and very good. The taste is long, complex, devellops over time. This wine is good now but will be even better in a couple of years

A private dinner (Restaurant La Belle Epoque ***, Lübeck/Travemünde, Germany): Half bottle. Quite sweet, almost caramelly oak, a bit obvious perhaps but with the ripe fruit and body to carry it, good balance and harmony, quite soft tannins, would need a bit more acidity and mineral coolness to give the wine real backbone, but soft, gentle and attractive, moreish even. Lacks the complexity for a higher score, bears similarities to certain New Zealand Pinot Noirs.

Taste: The quality and purity of the fruit is starting to stand out here. Ripe mid-palate, sweet and savoury notes at the side of my tongue. A lovely fruit and floral aspect on the palate as well.
Overall, as we are starting to hit the Großes Gewächs level, the quality of fruit and balance really stands out.

Weingut Huber Spatburgunder with Joel Payne + Surprise Dinner (Taberna): Nose: More meaty notes with riper fruits than than the previous 3 in the flight. Notes of olives also appeared on the nose.
