Burgundy 2012 against German-speaking competitors: N very weird nose, which reminded of bell peppers. On the palate it seemed coming from unripe fruit. Not a good showing. Day 2: N: incense now (which is weird too), but swirling brought out again notes of bell peppers. Thick and dense, with a lot of substance, but seemed pushed - the feeling of unripeness remained in the background.

Drinking beautifully - perhaps not quite peaking yet, but not far from it. Some subtle secondaries. Overall, alluring and intriguing.
