  • Ending August by the Sea; 8/22/2020-8/26/2020 (Alicante - España): Chalk, peaches and citrus on the nose. Its aristocratic origin turns into monotony and honeyed memories. Moderate acidity on the mouth and too sweet in the end. Some imbalance although nuanced by time. Difficult to pair (tomatoes with anchovies and fried squid) even with a warm apple pie. Of course there are people who really appreciate this much more than I do. All for them.

  • Enjoyable but missing the wow factor of its youth. The sweetness other contributors have mentioned is dissipating with age but overall there is something missing. Still a good wine though...

  • Medium yellow colour. In the nose, this is marked by sweetness, sweet, ripe fruit: peach and apple. Some oily slate and petrol, too. The nose is appealing, but it really is very sweet. On the palate, this is not too heavy, but the residual sugar is not perfectly in balance with the other elements like acidity (little) and minerality (little) and, thus, sticks out. That goes well with food, but not too well when drank on its own. The wine doesn't seem tired, so it could be that everything integrates with more cellar time. I'm not sure about it though.

  • Calcium and yellow ripe fruits in the nose. Powerful on the palate but I'm missing some acidity. Not very complex.
