9 Rieslings - 6 Dry 3 Off Dry: Wine five, I think this was the highest acid for me, tingly veering on uncomfortable. Very similar notes to wine four, maybe a little bit of petrol thrown in? I would say this needs more time compared to most of the other wines we had for the acid to calm down a bit.

Nine Rieslings, Mostly Dry, with Seven DC Doods (DeeCee Columbia Heights): Light gold. Lots of petrol and something earthy/mushroom/meaty…and a fresh spring stream and white flowers also mixed in somehow. This shows both the power and presence of the other Laubachs but weaves in loads of mineral citrus cut and that crystalline mandarin fruit that I love in Riesling. A real beauty.

I love the consistent purity of fruit I get in the wines from this producer. Dry, with vivid flavors of ripe peach, apricot, and lemon that are supported by herbal notes, medium acidity, and hints of petrol. A fabulous bottle for the price.

Medium to medium deep straw. The aroma is heavier and some what advanced. Petroleum. Chalky whetstone. Dried flowers. Squashy fruit and lemon. Palate is dry, rich, phenolic and acid. It’s advanced. Lovely acid backbone although the wine is broad and forward. Solid not great. 90+

Tasted against Uhlen R:
👃🏻: lime, white peach, spices (turmeric?), a little petrol, yellow flowers, mandarin zest, flint.
👅: high acidity, a little phenolic bite, very mineral.
A little lighter than Uhlen R
