  Took a few hours to unfurl. Recommend 3 hour decant. Elevated acid, needed time for all the classic N Rhone tell tales (meat, smoke, olive, savory) to really shine and for fruit to gain weight and evolve from watery red to moderately full dark fruits. The body is a bit underweight and lacks texture, which could have taken this to the next level. An above average cool climate syrah.

  Œil : opacité 6/10, très forte viscosité en parois, aucune trace d'évolution(conservé en cave passive; obscurité complète)
  Nez : dès l'ouverture, projection d'intensité 6/10, fumée, charbon de bois froid, poivre blanc, touche de girofle, cannelle, venaison, violette séchée, galets, super beau
  Bouche : sec, ample+, tanins encore charnus sans aucune agression, acidité rafraîchissante et très juste, amertume modérée, persistance plutôt longue et homogène
  Conclusion : dans un millésime chaud, Graillot a su ici faire une Syrah qui demeure très équilibrée et fraîche malgré sa générosité. Superbe!
  Possiblement sur son plateau. Ne se bonifiera probablement plus. Reste une en cave. À revoir vers 2020-2022, mais il sera difficile de résister!!

  After few bottles that are not so interesting (2006 and 2007) this one was really good! Drink now.

  Oeil : opacité 7/10, très forte viscosité en parois, larmes très lentes
  Nez : projection de forte intensité, il y avait à l'ouverture une très forte présence florale sur la violette qui a laissé tranquillement la place aux épices dont le poivre, la fumée, le bois noble, les fruits noirs et rouges, sur trame végétale, il a évolué continuellement sur près de 3 heures de consommation, superbe nez
  Bouche : sec, ample, acidité rafraîchissante qui fait bien saliver, tanins encore bien charnus, amertume moyenne, persistance moyenne-longue, rétro florale, épicée, boisée, végétale, amère, fumée
  Conclusion : superbe évolution avec l'aération, tout en équilibre, généreux tant au nez qu'en bouche, et encore du temps devant. A revoir en 2020.
