Drunk over 3 days and certainly less austere than previous vintages. No discernible difference over the 3 days.Nevertheless this remains a big wine lacking the finesse I am looking for in my burgundies. The wine will certainly improve with more cellaring

Initially very brittle after opening. With a little temperature and 1 hour of ventilation then with a complex and enchanting scent of dark berries, light smoke and moss. Sensational deep nose. On the palate with a massive tannin structure for its level, dark fruity, pithy, firm and with some juniper and licorice. Remains a little rustic with a slightly drying medium-long finish. On the nose slightly better than on the palate. Better on Day 2.

didn't really do it for us, could it be shut... I lean toward "no" on that question, simply (and surprisingly for '09) the palest was lackluster and lacked any fruit... hmmm

It is a dark rather robust wine - with a beautiful strawberries and cherry nose - we are also getting black berries but clearly less mature. Medium tannins and acidity - acidity still a bit dominating but clearly improved compared to our last bottle. We are also getting wood - weil integrated towards the end we are also getting some - not a long aftertaste - we will stay at 93.
