The 2015 Dugat-Py Gevrey Chàmbertin Cœur du Roy is seriously delicious and intense for a village wine, quality of a Premier Cru with lacy ripe dark fruits, premium wood toast and sweet stems. Really full on with abundant fruits and a firm backbone. 70% wholecluster and 70% new oak. I don’t often say this but this can be consumed over the next 4 decades easily. It’s just stepping into its drinking window and the high fruit intensity and firm tannins are built for the long haul. Masculine yet charming. (89/100)

The 2015 Dugat Py Gevrey Chambertin Cuvee Coeur de Roy is not your average village Burgundy. It has the weight and intensity of a top quality Premier Cru. Punchy dark berries, cassis, smoked earthy spices. Great concentration and structured backbone. This should improve with 5-10 more years of cellaring thanks to the immense fruit density to balance the structure. (87/100)

Tasting at Stoked KL, a refined nose & palate with character, such a good village wine but in reality it’s really a 1er cru
