Opened and tasted. Left with the first impression of a good light barbecue pairing. The next day, the strong alcohol/medicinal aroma showed up. Not bad for the community average but not for my local price.

96% Zinfandel with 4% Petite Sirah. Very aromatic nose of spice, plum, oak and alcohol. This is a concentrated Zin with firm tannins and flavors of juicy black cherry, sweet vanilla and plum. The more it opens the more the pepper kicks. It has a muddy mid palate, reminding of a Primitivo, and a long finish carrying with high acidity.

Drinking beautifully. Restrained alcohol, beautiful fruit balance. Why you love zins.
