Magnum PnP. Pleasant enough nose with expected rhone funk/spice/pepper, but very muted palate. Smooth and silky mouthfeel, but not much to offer here otherwise. Opens up a bit more with time and air. Drink 2 years ago as other reviews said. Unfortunate for a magnum of this style, any 750s are likely well past at this point.

This was served from Magnum for Easter. The wine still had some tannin on it but was well integrated at this point. Some dark fruits and the Cotes du Rhone funk that I have come to love. A short finish of 10 seconds. It is time to drink these - even in Magnum. 90 points.

Popped and poured from a 1.5L to accompany smoked smoked turkey. The bottle has been properly cellared. The wine has matured nicely and is in a great place. The fruit has backed off, leaving a nicely balanced wine1

Tasted from magnum. Tasted non blind as part of a vertical tasting.
Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of barnyard, white pepper and plums. Flavors of plums, boysenberries and raspberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium body. Drink now.
