Deep golden colour, oxidized notes on the nose. Confit here, good acidity, chantarel, sweetness - what to say? It's not gone, but I fail to see the point of keep a wine like this so long. #MASH#IB

Tasted at a trade tasting in NYC. While I am usually fond of older chards and I am tolerant of mild oxidation, I felt this was more than was agreeable to drink.

Medium plus nose shows oxidative notes, bruised pear, nutty tones, mushroom and earth. Palate is way fresher than expected, lovely fruit tones, wet stone, apricot must. Structure shows it's age, acidity is there but falls away quickly, alcohol is soft. Finish shines with the fruit. You have to be into aged wine to enjoy this, but this was really excellent.

Saline, bitter peach pit, dried orange peel, oxidative notes. Fairly full-bodied, with huge acid. The acid dominates, with no fruit (no fruit at all) to keep it in check. Slight off-putting metallic note on open that becomes less pronounced with air. Medium-long finish of orange peel, brine, and acid.

Just enough old Chardonnay characteristics. Color looked more oxidized than it was. Still crazy fresh acidity. Lemon curd, saline. Excellent bottle
