Seemed in a great spot, with pitch-perfect weight and acidity, and some lovely creaminess... reminiscent of Comtes 2006 without bubbles? Great with food (chicken Caesar salad), would've been great without it too.

Big, Napa chardonnay nose of bananas and cream, beeswax and key lime pie with a very buttery crust. Clean, precise palate of yellow apple, cantaloup melon and lemon peel with a medium long finish of spiced yellow fruit and slightly nutty yeastiness. 90-91

App: medium gold. Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of honey, pastry, brioche, raw dough, nectarine, white peach, creamy, pineapple, Fuji apple, white roses. It’s developing. Palate: dry, high acidity, high alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus flavour intensity, medium plus finish. Very good wine! Beautiful mature honey notes, so delicious and well balanced with the iconic acidity. My only criticism is the alcohol is a little high 14.5%, comparing with say 2020 vintage 13.5%. But overall, it’s still a great wine. Chilled it a little, the wine becomes even better with some mineral characters.

Showing good development but still very fresh, a touch on butterscotch in the mouth. Nothing out of balance. Lovely.

Consistent with my March note, I'll add that this time around without food it was very acid-forward.
