  Magnificent bottle. Mature but not past it. A delicious hint of honey as well as classic cherry/sangiovese flavour profile and secondary flavours but with a deep and rich Pomerol-like vein of black cherry that actually reminded me of the 2001 L'Eglise Clinet we had a week ago. Is there some Merlot in this?

  Big cherry nose with a bit of funk. Medium body, integrated tannins, more cherry on the palate with a earthy-leathery component. A little bitter on the back end. Straightforward.

  It took an hour for the aged funk to blow off. Nice nose with some cherry. Palate is off-balance. Some fruit, but too bitter. Drinkable, but would not buy again.
