  Attractive bright black cherry aromas. Good fruit weight on the palate but its a bit flat and lacking energy and intensity. A bit disappointing vs. expectations.

  Burgundy Dinner with Friends (RPM Seafood - Chicago IL): Wonderful aromatic start of ripe black plum and cherry, perhaps a bit of new oak coming through. Less precise on palate, less robust, more earthy. I haven't opened a bottle in almost a decade, and this wasn't quite as enjoyable tonight vs back in 2012.

  Juicy black cherry fruit, remarkably fresh. Tobacco, mature and mellow tannins, nice acidity. Delicious.
  I coravined and had 3 excellent glasses with dinner. But by the second night, even under argon, it seemed like some of the life had gone out of it.
  Moral of the story: If I tap one of these oldies, best to share and finish it.

  During a Paulee Dinner, so only brief impressions. This was very nice with stemmy nose, red fruit, dried meat. Light on its feet but complex and long.
