Bright purple color. Big, rich ripe tarry Petite fruit. Blows away the 40% Zin component. Somewhat of a fruit bomb (15% ALC). Seems like it has many years left. An experimental Dehlinger blend.

Violet in color. 15% ABV. 60% Petite Sirah and 40% Zinfandel. Huge nose of black fruits, dark chocolate, iron and baking spices. Medium body with light to medium acidity. Plush and unctuous with great texture and mouthfeel. Blackberry compote, raspberries and a touch of black pepper on the palate. Medium length on the finish. Not quite on par with the traditional Dehlinger wines but fun to drink nonetheless. Best over the next few years.

Oddball Blends - Blind tasting (Brasserie 8 1/2 - 9 W. 57th Street): An enjoyable wine. My last 3 bottles. Threw off a lot of sediment. The Peite Sirah dominated the Zinfandel.
