  Appearance - Deep garnet (3)
  Aroma - Tobacco, leather, chocolate, mint, blackcurrant (4.5)
  Taste/Texture - Primary fruit all but gone, some choc mint remains along with some woodiness. Fine grained tannins and medium acidity, well balanced, beautiful soft texture (4)
  Aftertaste - Lingering, leathery aftertaste (2)
  Overall - One to savour, still going strong 32 years in (2)
  Total Score - 15.5/20
