had with Teddy and his daughter Paige in Huntington Beach late night outside by the fire, what a great wine, great acidity and high toned red fruit with a bunch of spice... very very nice and worth the $170 I paid

Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL): Tasted double blind. Very mature black fruit with a meaty character, I thought it from 1997. Very good weight and fruit, but seemingly slightly lacking acidity, although this did slightly freshen up over the 10 minutes it was in glass.

HDH Bordeaux Auction; 10/30/2015-10/31/2015 (Chicago, IL): This is a very lush and big wine, with some juicy black fruits on the nose. Plums, slightly roasted and very dark and on the nose and palate. There's a slight bit of stewedness as well. Not over the top and surprisingly restrained, but to be honest, I think that this just needs a lot more air and time. Lovely density and a thick texture that can only be thanks to old vines.

(ROTY TVV Charmes-Chambertin) Red Burgundy Dear Friends, Red Burgundy of interest. Both have arrived in perfect condition and are directly form the source: 2005 Domaine Ragot Givry 1er “Clos Jus” EXTREMELY LIMITED Givry had a breakout vintage in 2005 and this is Ragot’s top wine. Good luck finding a substantial amount on the world market - it’s a 2005 and it’s basically vanished only a few months after release. Rated “exceptional” from a price/value standpoint for a 2005 red Burgundy by the Revue du Vin de France (“Tasted blind, his wines regularly came in first, while the class of his Clos Jus crushed the other samples present.”), this wine is the work of a young maestro set on conquering the Burgundian hierarchy....all with little if any intervention and one of the purest hands this side of Mugnier. If you want to get in on something before it becomes $75-100, here you go - less than 10 cases for the US (not kidding). We also have a few beautiful magnums of this: 2003 Roty Charmes-Chambertin Tres Vielles Vignes 1.5lt (IWC93+) ” Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Burg6010 Burg6020

Doubled decanted 40 min before meal. Good aromatics. But not much in the way of completexity or length. Not bad, just nothing compelling.
