Just opened my one and only bottle of this, and I’m amazed at how good it is after reading all the reviews. Those of you who have some left ought to give it another try. True, there is some smoked meat that comes off of this wine when first opened, but after a half hour, what emerges is a wonderful, hedonistic burgundy. My experience with the 2003 burgundies is similar to the 1976 vintage—baked in a heat wave, and took 15 years before the fruit emerged. Wish I had a case of this!

Further time has not really assisted this wine - the vintage is simply not the best for Burgundy. Any wine from the brothers is always likely to be a good wine but this is not their finest

(Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots) Very dark garnet red color; tight nose with a hint of iodine; tart, tannic cherry palate; short-medium finish

Decant for 2hrs and you can taste the flowery fruits in this Pinot. Very soft tannins, a hit with the ladies

Tastes much more like 2003 than Chevillon. Roasted fruit and not much length. Sound but that's about it.
