Some lasting tannins that needed 30-45 minutes to dissipate…this is finally entering its drinking window…revealing some vosne spice by way of nuits saint Georges feral-ness. Enjoyable…and got better throughout the night. I’d probably wait another year but can be happily opened today with some time to open up.

Reduction on the nose which blew off after 30 minutes. Replaced by aromas of ripe black cherries, red raspberries, juniper berries, mushrooms, black licorice, new leather and tobacco. There's a subtle yeasty funk in the background too. Much more herbal and spicy on the palate with fresh tarragon, fresh cracked black pepper and mushroom powder. The fruits come back in the finish though, and a note of red currant is added. Intensity of aromas is medium + while intensity of flavors is medium.
Medium body with medium + acid and medium lingering tannins. Developing. Recommend holding this 5 or so more years so it can really open up.

Blackberry, oak, and a hints of mushroom and forest floor on an open nose. M+ acidity, tannins present but nearly resolved. Very good, probably more positive evolution over the next five years or so.

Did not compare to the 2013, completely different. Felt a bit tight. Needed to age more.

Still at an early stage of its projected range, it's youth shows early while across two hours it opens into a luscious, mouth-filling joy.
