  • Followed in the footsteps of the lovely 2006 ( Papies 92-93) and really was a younger, richer and less evolved version. Still very classy and well made, silky but firm tannin, cherry notes, light spice and with good length . 91 for now but time will only make it better.

  • Drank at home. Much better than previous bottles. It had more body and structure. Olive and leather, dump old barrel, decadent but with nice red fruit. Nice bright balancing acidity, tannins still kicking, med body, med to long finish. Very very nice, needs some time in either a decanter or in large glasses. Starting to change my mind whether this is a Xinomavro to lay down for ageing or not. Wish I had more bottles

  • The color is clear and bright red.
The nose is clean, m/m+ intensity, loads of ripe red and black cherries, sweet oak notes, prunes, cinnamon, nutmeg, chocolate, a nice decadent dampness, black pepper spiciness , leather, developing.
The wine is dry, med body and itnensity, med+ acidity, 14.5% alcohol that shows a bit, tannins are big, there is a more spicy character and a lot more oak than the nose. The fruits stays a bit in the background in the palate when compared to the nose. It also feels more evolved in the palate with some balsamic notes. The wine ends with a med+ finish.
Very good quality to outstanding, drink now as I felt that the fruit begins to "dry out". A very good wine altogether

  • Decanted and served. The more we try this wine the more we appreciate it. Well made, biodynamic wine with a lot of attention. This beautiful 09 vintage was just a joy to come across with good fruit on the nose, well aromatic. Serious wine. Well structured, with depth and complexity and the fruit carried well across the mid palate. Feels a bit modern but modern done well. 91
