  Tasting this blind I was convinced it was an old red Burgundy. Lots of frozen strawberry juice, leather, tobacco, earth, tar, soap bar, prunes, raw meat and raisins. No distinguishable Bordeaux aromas.
  
  Palate is quite round and smooth with decent fruit left, but it has definitely seen better days. Medium acidity, medium(-) intensity and a medium long, quite dry finish.
  
  Even though this is way past its peak I quite enjoyed it. There is no harsh wood left and even though the wine has lost a lot of its complexity there is tons of fun mature aromas around to discover.
  
  Very hard to rate wines this old, but I would say this is somewhere between 88-90P.
