  • One of the darker colored wines of the vintage opens with espresso, chocolate, flowers, black cherries, blueberries, plums. The palate is even better due to all of its layers of chocolate-coated cherries, licorice, espresso, and crushed rock characteristics. The finish, with its strong, salty edge lingers. Produced from 100% old, vine Merlot, this is final vintage for Bellevue-Mondotte as the vines were integrated into Chateau Pavie the following year. Drink from 2026-2052.

  • Deeply colored, the wine already expresses flowers, minerals, dark red pit fruits, licorice and cocoa. On the palate, there is freshness, energy, ripe, dark berries, sweetness to fruits and salinity. There is a good concentration and depth of flavor. The fruits are juicy, ripe and sweet, with blackberries, citrus and cocoa with a touch of spice in the endnote. This is the second vintage produced from 100% old vine Merlot. 14.81% ABV. Drink from 2026-2050. 93-95

  • En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Served at Pavie
Red plums, a little raspberry, new oak – caramel, sweet spice, creamy notes. Juicy, fleshy, extracted, huge tannins dry things out again. A little hard greenness on the finish. Meh.
