We burned through two cases of this at my wedding, and several people told me they really liked it. Even the wine nerds in the crowd can appreciate this wine, what with its seashell and ocean spray notes, tangy acid and minerals. Too bad I forgot my sabre.

In Search of Wedding Wines (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): A very pretty cremant, and a great value at $20. Floral on the nose, with salty, limestone, and lemon aromas, along with green apple. The palate shows ripe green apple and melon, but ther acid is very intense, and the minerality underlines the whole wine. Notes of lemon zest and seashell on the finish, this would be incredible with all kinds of seafood.

Apple, lemon, Chablis-like ocean minerals, and a hint of cotton candy make up this wine. It isn't complex, but it's got good sharp acidity to go with seafood. At $20, it is a good value. Tasted over two days. 12.5% alc.

Elegant, fresh vibrant bright fruit with slaty underlying minerality, lovely aperitif.

Holiday 2012 Wines; 12/23/2012-12/31/2012 (Santa Fe, NM): Lots of apples on the nose with some hints of vanilla and pear. The palate is nice and firm with good pear notes and a soft apple finish.
