In magnum format. Terrific with Vosne spice, flowers and darkish red fruit. It was structured and ethereal with medium plus attack. The sweetness was penetrating. A very good Echezeaux from a great vintage. 93+

Cellared since release. Burgundy lunch June 21, 2023. Decanted 45 minutes. Minimal sediment Deep garnet color with brown at the rim. Complex, very developed, and pleasing nose of red fruit, Souis Bois, and a slight floral component. Rich, beautifully aged red and black fruit with excellent mid-palate stimulation, and soft tannins. There was a spicy finish that went on and on, for more than 45 seconds. This was a tremendously complex and pleasing wine in every dimension, and showed more development that most 2010’s I’ve had. It was voted the wine of the tasting, and has at least 3-5 years of pleasurable drinking ahead.
95 points.

Just a bit wild, with plenty of sauvage character. It has some freshly grated ginger and bright cherry fruits. There’s good density and underlying minerality. It feels like it has shut down.
