Pibarnons are known having a final drinkable period at 20 years. More complex than younger vintages; notes of leather, dark chocolate and subtle ripened blackberries; soft on the palate at first followed by a spicy finish. A marvellous wine.

More developed then what I would expect but anyway was in a great place. I tend to appreciate this mature Bandols.
Cloudy, deep eye with garnet end. Medium + intensity on the nose with a little touch of remaining red fruit and floral but dominated by the thertiary aromas with leather, black tea. Dry, medium + acidity, medium tannins, body and finish.

Funky, earthy, dark berry fruits. Warm, low acid, unbalanced, hard to finish. Time does not appear to be doing any favours
