  • Deep ruby red with red brim. Youthful, fruity and herbal nose with notes of mulberries, cherries, herbs and a touch of licorice. Mouthfeel is fruity, medium bodied plus, with velvet smooth, finely integrated tannins, nice acidity and notes of mulberries, cherries and some herbs.

Smooth and drinks very well now, but will probably add complexity with more bottle age.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed, dark purple full nose, with great follow through. We had the 2011 a few days later and that shows what a great wine this could become.

Definitely benefitted from a deacant and improved as the night went on

  • A gift from a friend this was truly one of the surprises of the night. I love Mourvedre and this was impressive showing. I really enjoy being introduced to new regions through grapes I'm familiar with. I'd love to try wines of this region with a little more age.

    Any advice is welcome.

  • We opened the wine and poured directly. No decanting. Not much time to get air.

Purple to dark garnet color. Medium. Dark berry on the nose. Not very complex on the nose but pleasant fruit balanced with faint notes of cedar and mild rose. Faint stones on the nose.very faint. Higher alcohol you can feel on the nose.

Bright tannins are well balanced. Medium-high acid. Blackberry and currant on the tongue. Alcohol a bit overwhelming and blocks some of the flavor. Not sure if this will get better with time. Feels like it’s already in the drinking window. Might just be too “hot” because of the alcohol?

  • The wine was deep and sooty, with luscious black cherry and blood plum fruits. There a base of ironstone and ripe but chewy tannins that carry the long finish.
