  • very spicy nose, animally, leather, stewed fruit, on the palate licorice, cassis, concentrated and balanced, velvety, grainy tannin, a whiff of tobacco, good long aftertaste, some more years to go, 88- 89+?

  • The wine is cherry and the robe is medium-high. The rib are garnet, and their legs, which fall down slowly, are thin.
On the nose it´s mineral, and it shows smoked aromas, with red and black fruits, lactic aromas, and hints of flowers.
On the palate it shows a high acidity level. It´s saline, mineral and fruity. The finish is medium-long, fruity, roasted (coffee) and spicy.

  • Very pleasant Bierzo. Cherry with nice acidity, there's a herbal and slightly mineral quality throughout the wine which I appreciate. The 9 months of oak this wine gets seems reasonable, and is not overpowering. Very lively at this point, may settle a little bit more over a year or two. Still alive on the fourth day after being in the fridge with the cork put back in.

  • Dominio de Tares Cepas Viejas, mencía 2008.

    Visual:
Color rojo cereza oscuro con ribete granate. Capa alta, gran cuerpo.

    Nariz:
A copa parada frutas rojas maduras y potentes y notas mentoladas balsámicas mas sutiles.
