Similar to bottle drank on 26/08/16, perhaps not as expressive on nose but very nice on palate, lots of freshness with pastry flavors. Ready now, could go on a few more years. Terrific QPR. Last bottle :(
Champagne by Joe (Tracy's, Mpls): Light gold color. 2+ oz pour over 20 minutes. An excellent expansive nose with granny smith apples, great sea air, earthiness, and citrus notes. The palate shows more lemon and citrus, some orchard fruit as well, tart, mineral, very good length. This was excellent again, though not quite delivering the vibrancy and energy that I recall from previous bottles.
In a great spot right now. Has gained complexity and added pastry aromas while maintaining the freshness and minerality. It's really good now and there's no reason to not open one now. Looking forward for my last bottle in a couple of years. 91-92
