Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): Deep ruby, with slightly browning edges. Pronounced nose, with aromas of clove spices and dried candied tomato, with some herbs and florals. Intensely flavoured with powerful tannins, and ripe blackberry flavours, as well as a grassy feel, and cooking spices like cloves and cinnamon, and a long tar-like finish. Nice!

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -nearly opaque dark red -ripe cassis, oak -med acidity kicks in late, fairly dense, sweet ripe cassis fruit and slightly chalky tannins on finish, a bit of earthiness -decent but really doesn't distinguish itself from most new world cabs

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -very dark inky red -ripe cassis -med acidity, fairly lush med+ weight ripe fruit and some oak, med tannins -decent quality and pleasant in a modern style if not very distinctive or interesting, still seems fresh, maybe will become more interesting with a few more years

Heavy oak and firm tannins. Fruit and vanilla in there somewhere. I'm enjoying it quite a bit but I can see how some people wouldn't enjoy it, especially when compared to Cali cabs. It is not as heavy bodied or as fruit forward. I paid 35.90 Euro for it in Germany. Looks like that was a little high.

Good overall cab sauv. Nice balance, typical cab although a bit light on the mid palate. But round, easy drinking with decent complexity.
