P&p; drinking well right away but at its best with 90+ minutes of air in the bottle, gaining depth and cohesion. Matches Isaacjamesbaker's notes from 4-5 years ago pretty much exactly, just with the addition of some subtle general agedness. Certainly has plenty of fruit left. Ripe black cherry-plum, seemlessly combined with floral, spicy, savory, and stony/mineral elements. Good acidity. Characterful, balanced, and just plain tasty. Quite enjoyable, and a good value. Seems like drink or hold.

In Search of Wedding Wines (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): Another awesome showing by this wine. Ripe black cherries, plums, mixed spices, stewed eat. The palate is really snappy and full of fresh red fruit. Yet these Earl Grey tannins persist, and I love the contast between ripeness and Jura flavors. I'm going to lay my last bottle of this down for another two years or so and see what else comes out. It seems a bit shut down from the last bottle I had.

Just as good as the last time I tasted it five months ago, if not even better. Roses, black cherries, spices and a hint of grilled meat on the nose. Lots of snappy, juicy red fruit, backed up with pepper, baking spices and broth. Absolutely delicious with lovely plum-skin tannins. Dusty, Ealy Grey tannins throughout. A stunning blend of pint noir, trousseau and poulsard.

Jura Wines at Weygandt (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): Taste blind and very impressed. Vibrant ruby color in the glass with thick legs. The color is clear and fresh like a light pinot color. Aromas of rose, black cherry and baking spices. The fruit is pure and matched with gritty tannins. There's this delicious inkiness here that reminds me of some California syrah, but then there's this rush of minerals that comes in and completely takes over. The finish is laced with chocolate shavings and charcoal, but those minerals never go away. This wine is really delicious. It would win over new world fans with its strength and power, but wow Jura fans with its complexity and those dark, earl grey tea tannins. I can't wait til this becomes available for purchase.

Isaacjamesbaker's review is right on: smells like rose, cherry, charcoal, and chocolate. Complex, nice minerality, good stuff.
