Decanted an hour before serving, left in cellar. Paired with rosemary/garlic/fennel seed brined and grilled quail, fennel/white bean gratin and big asparagus. Matched with 1999 Chandon de Briaillies Corton Clos du Roi, which I might have preferred (a bit more delicate and red-fruited) but both quite good. The Vougerie has bags of life but is mature (well, at least tannins resolved - and well-balancex). Both excellent.

pop n pour.nice open nose of bttl aging(tertiary)scents.palate:veri beautiful integration.soft n feminie.nice texture.decent intensity n complexity.wud like to hve better structure.gets fresher with some air.flaunting almost everyting in the bttls.nice drinking nw
