  • I can see where this can be 92-93 for older champagne lovers. I enjoy it, but a bit fresher would be good. Low bubbles, low acid, lots of yeast. Really a food wine by now. No change from 2-3 years ago.

  • I normally like low bubbles count, but this is too little. It could be over the peak, although these should age for a while.

It could be that this is not for everyone as aperitif- too expressive, yeasty etc. I would drink it with food - should stand up very well to any white wine stuff.

Anyway I won’t buy any more - prefer my NV Leblanc as daily bubbly.

  • Woww.

  • This had softened with age. You could tell this was a vintage. While 60% Chardonnay and only 40% Pinot Noir the aging brought out more if the Piont. Excellent wine

  • Light medium gold color. Drank 2 glasses over 45 minutes. My last bottle and probably drinking at peak, showing lovely secondary characteristics. I love the maturity here with a lovely nose of toffee, great yeast and baking bread notes, apple, spice and mineral on the nose. The palate is medium bodied to fuller with a maturity, yeast, brioche, red apple, toast, spice, fine chalk minerality. This shows nice balance and character. I don't think I would push it a lot further, but should hold for a couple years if desired.

(Charles Ellner Champagne Brut "Seduction" Millésimé) Light green-tinged yellow color with tiny bubbles; lifted, baked pear, yeasty, lime nose; tasty, creamy textured, tart pear, tart apple, mineral, yeasty palate with some density; medium-plus finish
