Wines 10 years and older (including a 59 Lafleur) (MP's): Ruby in color. The nose has cherries and a slight funk. On the palate, there is some faint cherry juice. This doesn't taste old, just not a lot of stuffing. Pleasant but I would not hold these.

Although bland and certainly lacking in any complexity - it was so easy on the pallette, that it might have it's place in the inventory. No real distinguishing characteristics except for a mild pinot taste. Might be a decent intro to the non-developed pallette to French wines.

Not much fruit, just enough to taste like it's probably a Pinot. Very thin on the palate. Reasonably good acidity to go with food, but otherwise un-noteworthy.

Pop and pour.
Color: Ruby. Varietally correct color.
Nose: Vegetal with dried cherries.
Mouth: Medium bodied. Oak. Dried cherries. Big tannins.
After some time in the glass, the oak and tannins aren't so bad. Getting vegetal flavors and maybe some stewed fruit.
