Saturated golden color. Scents waft up from the glass showing notes of hazelnut crème, banana bread, butterscotch, vanilla, honeycomb, crème brûlée, pear, spiced apples, yellow flowers, honeysuckle, nutmeg, oak and white tea. The palate shows rich flavors of cloves, nutmeg and cardamom that mix with melted butterscotch, honey, cream soda, vanilla, toasted hazelnuts, creme brûlée, poached pears, baked apples, white tea and edible flowers. Creamy across the mid-palate to the banana bread and caramel creme nuanced finish.

This is in a really good place right now. Golden yellow in the glass, slightly apple green on the edges, offering a notes of apple, pineapple, vanilla and honey on the nose. There is a really cool tropical profile here - think pineapple and coconut cream pie, but it remains fresh. It has some weight to it, slightly viscous, but certainly not heavy. It could very well be overdone but it toes the line without faltering. Very nice wine.

With Fran & Fran at our house...drank after a Sicilian white, Last bottle from this vintage in our cellar. Its aged very nicely and seems as if it should hold at this level for a bit.
Consistent with prior notes: "Nose of lemon meringue, apples, pear, melon. Palate of tropical fruits, lemon zest, baked apples, creme brulee and vanilla oak."
AO is one of our house favorites for this style of Chardonnay, CA style while remaining elegant....
